Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5: 7
1 Peter 5: 7 is a beautiful scripture highlighting God’s care for us.
Life can be hard. And because most of us are busy and preoccupied with our own lives and responsibilities, we often don’t reach out to others as much as we would like, or as often as we should. Likewise, we do not receive the attention from others that we sometimes feel that we need.
But God always cares for us. He is never too busy, too tired, nor lacking in any resource.
In this scripture, the apostle Peter tells us to cast our care upon God, because He cares for us. The weight of life, and our responsibilities, can get heavy; and there are times when we may feel as if we can barely stand under this weight, or, as if we are drowning. This scripture reminds us of the love and the concern that God has for us, and that we don’t have to carry this weight all by ourselves. We have to pray, and give all of our concerns to God. God cares for us, and He is always there to help us. The Bible tells us that God is our refuge and our strength, a present help; so we can lean on His strength. We do not have to bear the burdens of this life alone.
The design for the “Casting Your Care Collection” is from an original nature photograph that I took, and turned into an illustration. The greenery in the print highlights the beauty of God’s grace. The print also features a passageway that has rails, representing guidance. God’s grace, and His care for us, are our passageway, allowing us to make it through every test and trial.
